Anyone hear any more about the Velocity that was trying to land at RR Saturday night? A few of us were watching him make a few missed approaches due to the rain and wind that seemed to pick up suddenly (a couple we spoke to said he made four). However, he finally climbed up and we saw him appear to enter the clouds circling overhead. We heard someone calling the aircraft from the ground on the radio, but no response from the pilot trying to land. Eventually we heard the plane fade into the distance, but we continued to scan the radio for a while (including 121.5) but never heard anything. I'm sure they're ok, but we were sure concerned at the time.

Thanks again to all who helped make RR a success this year. Smaller crowd this year due to the weather, but still awesome nonetheless! !
