REFLECTOR: Changing Mixture setting and fuel smell.

Dear all,

 

I have a new issue, and I thought I would once more seek group guidance.  

 

When I pull the mixture out at top of climb to lean out for cruise, I get
one whiff of raw fuel.  It has happened 3 times now.  It has never done this
before after 125+ hours.  Just one whiff and it goes away, and it appears to
happen as move the mix control cable after level off at say 10,000.  

 

I have a free day.  I am going to pull the cowl and the plenum and check all
the injector fittings, and the intake system, and all the fuel plumbing in
the cabin to see if anything is loose.    

 

Does anyone have any experience with this?   Thanks in advance for any
suggestions.
