REFLECTOR: Elevator Cuff size? Aileron gaps 1/8th"?

I removed the cuffs form my elevators. Increased elevator authority at
slow flight, increased purposing during canard stall, reduced stall
speed of canard during landing. If I land hard, or with firm contact I
need to pull up on the elevator a bit to stop the nose from coming down
prematurely. Is that what you mean by nose drop?
I think removing the cuffs improved the performance significantly.
Never looked back.
