Hi, Terry,
Yes, I downloaded 'pdfplates.com' to my Kindle DX reader. The reader is nearly the same size as the actual paper plates and totally legible. The best part is, the plates are free, though one's conscience should drive one to make a reasonable donation. The Kindle interface isn't perfect, but once one gets used to it, it's easy to bring up the state and then the plates for the airport your interested in. From there, you simply hit 'next page' or 'previous page' to step through the approaches and arrival/departure procedures.
Very readable, but because the screen is not backlit, at dusk or night, you have to have an external light source...but then, you need one of those for paper plates too.

Subject: REFLECTOR: E-readers as Electronic Flight Bags
Does anybody have any experience with the KindleDX or the Sony PRS505 as a NACO approach plate display device over using paper charts?
Thanks,
Terry
