REFLECTOR: FOD

Just came back from golden west and Lynn Cook had his Elite RG on display there, He had made a fender that covered about 100 degrees of the nose wheel from top to the back, looked like that would stop a lot of the rocks. Maybe he has pictures.

Don White on White's Lightning had a vertical wedge hanging off the nose gear fork behind the nose wheel to deflect FOD. --Jeff

I taxi with my speed brake down as it provides a huge fender for the
        nose wheel.

Just don't skip the *Speed Brake Up item on the before take off check
list! Yes, I've taken off with the speed brake down. Its possible,
takes a lot more runway, makes a lot of noise above 120 knots!
