Personally, I never let anyone fuel my Velocity.  They may hand  me the 
nozzle, but I take it from there.  I think most of them are a little  hesitant 
anyway, so they don't mind.  The fact that this guy wanted you to  pump it because 
it was to cold says much about his work ethics anyway, hope you  got the 
"self serve" price.  Don't trust anyone!!
 
Regarding trips.  I have been flying my Velocity 14 years.  The  Velocity (or 
any airplane) is a magic carpet.  So much to see in this  country and so 
little time.
