Lou,

I know there will be a wealth of information coming your way.? Personally I subscribe to "Pilot Getaways" magazine. They have all sorts of articles on places to fly, what do do there, where to stay...

What I like about them is they seem to cater to every taste. From resort places, to back country destinations to the October 2008 issue that lists best runway camping spots.

I keep all the issues so that I can start going places once I am finally flying.

Here's the link:???? http://www.pilotgetaways.com/

You can subscribe, get back issues, etc.

Oh yeah, if you are in the neighborhood, don't forget to drop in and say HI.

Well I am sitting hear in the dead of winter in wonderful Western New York, envying all of you sun country people , who get to fly this time of year. Every year at this time I wonder why we don't move to warmer climate. Then spring comes and I forget. For all of us in the no-fly zone, keep those flying encounters coming.

?

This summer I am planning on a flying vacation out West. We would like to visit the National Parks and anything else of interest that we can fly to. I remember a discussion, a while back, about airports in or near the park systems. I also remember a book which I read years ago on flying vacations. I have tried to Goggle the information but have found little success. If anyone has ideas for me, I would greatly appreciate it.

?
