You'll have to tell us how you envision it being installed. It can't support
the load on the nose gear, and is not designed for side loads, so I'm unable
to envision how it could be used.

 

Yes, something of that nature installed between the fork and the leg could
be very helpful; but I don't think this is it.

Here is an idea for a Dampener I dreamed up. There are people that know the
forces

involved here better than I. May be they could tell if this device would
work to stop our

Shimmy problem. Simple small and clean if it would work. Dampener is at the
bottom of the 

Gear leg.
