REFLECTOR: Nose gear shimmy

My fairing is removeable, I built it that way. The fairing is, or was,
attached with screws on the leading edge. There have been previous posts
about a replacement bushing that won't compress in the center causing fore
and aft slop. I don't believe that this slop will cause shimmy, mine has
considerable play also with no shimmy.
