Elevator trim

Interesting idea. First question is
"Why?"; besides saving a lb or two. Those who are flying may
have some input on this. Certainly it would change control forces;
probably allow full deflection of elevator with much less force; or fear of
breaking our spring. But unless you are doing arobatics, force limiting
the deflection is probably a good thing. And then you would have to
experiment to determine the size of trim airfoil needed.
Perhaps it could eliminate what seems a
major builder variable of how to cut this fiberglass "U" to get the proper spring rate.
